Redefining Attachment

The sounds of crickets chirping softly outside the window on a steamy summer night should never have to compete with the shrill beeps of a disconnected insulin pump; desperate for its owner to abandon their intimate moments to reattach. Any insulin-pump-dependent diabetic has had a moment of electronic interruption of their escapades because until now, maintaining connection would require some form of undergarment in order to attach. We embarked on a mission to figure out a method where lady-like type-ones would not have to sacrifice their health in order to prioritize a night (or morning) of passion. As a result, the 'Raya Garter' design does not require additional underwear to attach to, and can be worn as a birthday suit accessory. The user does not have to disconnect, or spend time potentially missing out on crucial insulin requirements. So those lazy Sunday afternoons can be spent in healthy blood sugar ranges without the hassle of attaching and disconnecting to a tubed pump. No more gym shorts or pajama pants needed to wear your pump. No need for sleepy stares into your partner's eyes to be interrupted by abrupt beeps. Added benefits include reducing the risk of a pump falling out of a flimsy fabric and cracking. We know that living with a condition like type one diabetes can make someone feel very 'un-sexy' with fatigue, scars from infusion sites, possibly bloody or bruised skin, so we wanted our users to be able to get their sense of sexy back. Thus 'secure your sexy' was born, and adorns the outside of our shipping boxes. It's time to go confidently into the world with a chronic illness, and a way to feel as fabulous as we know you are!
